Hiiii, first time trying something like this, so I'll just let the words (and maybe a little bit of nerves) do their thing… here goes.
I'm an easygoing soul who honestly believes life slows down in the best way when there's a glass of sweet wine in one hand and a good chess match in the other. There's something about that combination, a little sweetness on the tongue, a little strategy on the board, that just feels like the perfect way to end a long day. I'm the kind of person who doesn't take things too seriously, but I do take my wine choices seriously (Moscato fans, you already get it) and my chess openings even more seriously. Ruy López? Queen's Gambit? I'll play any of them, as long as the conversation between moves is just as good as the game.
I should warn you: I'm a bit of a workaholic. I pour a lot of myself into what I do, and sometimes I forget to look up from the screen. But here's the thing, when something, or someone, truly matters, I will make the time. It's not about fitting people into the gaps in my schedule; it's about setting aside an entire evening because I want to hear how your day really was, not just the quick version. I believe the people we love deserve our full attention, our unrushed presence, and definitely our half of the bottle.
I guess I'm looking for someone who sees a quiet night in as a real date. Someone who might want to challenge me on the board (don't worry, I'm a graceful loser… most of the time), then let me refill their glass and steer the conversation somewhere deeper. You don't have to be a chess master, beginners are welcome, I'm a patient teacher, but you do have to enjoy the slow, simple pleasures. If you've ever gotten lost in a conversation until 2 a.m. without realizing it, we'll probably get along just fine.
Bonus points if you have wine recommendations I haven't tried yet, or if you can finally beat me in chess. I think I'd really like that.
