I am a man in my late 40s living in South Korea. First of all, the reason I didn't attach a photo of my face to my profile is because I thought it would be better to exchange it after getting to know the person I'm talking to for a while. I also hope my face isn't the reason you're contacting me^^ I prefer women over 30 years old for a few reasons, but I'm basically open to everyone from all regions. I'm particularly interested in the nature and culture of Japan and Europe. Japan is the closest country to Korea geographically and historically and culturally, but surprisingly the two societies are very different. I speak some English, reading fairly well, but not so much in conversation and writing. I speak Korean very well^^ and I think I know the language and culture a bit better than the average Korean, and I think I could be of help to someone who wants to learn it. However, I'm not really interested in a language-exchange-only relationship. My goal is basically to make foreign friends, so I don't think you should just contact me and ask me to teach you Korean. According to my experience of being pen pals with a few people for about a year, it seems like a relationship cannot last long if we have similar world views, values, and tastes, or if we don't have anything in common. So please take a look at my profile and consider whether I would be a good fit for you before contacting me. Even though it is an online human relationship, it takes a lot of time and effort to maintain it, so I think it is absolutely necessary to take time to reflect before contacting someone. By the way, I've blocked the messenger feature here, so if you want to contact me, send me an email. While Korean pop music, movies and dramas, and food are driving the korean wave boom around the world, ironically, South Korea is on a path of irreversible decline. This is evidenced by the country's highly unusual suicide rate, birth rate, life satisfaction, and social trust. But as a Korean, I don't like Koreans, I'm neither worried nor saddened by the country's decline, so if you're looking for more positive information about South Korea by being fascinated by its superficial charms, I'm not the right person to ask. If, on the other hand, you want to know all the highs and lows of Korea, I might be of some help. Human relationships start to go awry from the moment they meet, and the hurt begins. But, if we don't meet, nothing happens. So, I will meet you without any great expectations or illusions, and I will do my best to build a mutually beneficial and trusting relationship for a long time.
